Raspberry-Banana (green) Smoothie

Sometimes I wonder if the next smoothie can really be all that different from the last. I especially wondered that about this one. I already have my Berry-Banana smoothie, I wondered if this would be too similar. But I can say, now that I’ve tried it, that the two are definitely different. For starters, this one doesn’t have yogurt, so that will change the taste and texture. I love them both, and I love having different options, that way I don’t get sick of having smoothies.

Raspberry Banana (green) Smoothie So, give it a try. If you like raspberries, you’ll love it. I liked mine better after letting it sit a few minutes. The flavors were more developed. That’s the thing about frozen fruit, it doesn’t have much flavor.

Raspberry Banana SmoothieA great book and a smoothie, starting the day off well.

Let me know how you like it!

Mmmm, raspberries! And the oatmeal makes it a perfect breakfast.
Ingredients
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup spinach
  • ½ orange
  • 1 small apple
  • ⅓ cup whole oats
  • pinch salt
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients in a blender and blend until thick and smooth.
  2. If it's too think to blend, first, give it a stir. If that doesn't work add a small amount of water. (No more than ¼ cup at a time.)
  3. Don't be afraid of the salt. Your body needs it and it will bring all of the flavors together.
