Tropical Green Smoothie

I made this smoothie the other day. It was a nice change from my “go-to”  Triple- Berry With Everything But The Kitchen Sink Smoothie. (Recipe coming soon).

Tropical Green Smoothie-ingredients

As with any smoothie recipe, the ingredients and amounts are all pretty much optional. And if you’ve never tried putting spinach or other greens in your smoothie, trust me, if you blend it well, and don’t add too much, you really won’t know it’s there. (I might recommend you don’t try Romaine lettuce, surprisingly it has a stronger taste than spinach or kale!)

Here’s how you make it: Just put it all in a blender! (See amounts in the recipe below.)
As noted in the recipe, if you don’t have  a high-powered blender, start with the milk and spinach. Get that all nice and smooth, then add the rest. If it’s too stiff just add more milk, or even some water.

Oh, and that’s my homemade yogurt in the picture, incase  you want to save money by making your own.

Here’s to your health and a comforting, sweet morning.
