I’m so confused right now!
I’m sitting here in Tennessee, (oppressively hot Tennessee) in the middle of July, writing a post about the meals we’re planning this week.
You know, summer meals; light, cool, nothing that heats up the house …
And I’m wearing a sweater!
It’s unseasonably cool here. People are joking about getting their winter coats out! (I did see someone in a jacket last night. Made me feel a little less wimpy.)
I feel like I need to be planning some heart-warming soups and cozy casseroles.
I don’t know what’s happening with this weather but…
I like it!
You see, I grew up in Maine.
Yeah, I don’t miss the cold even for a second.
But I’m kind of wimpy about the heat too.
I’m a princess.
You heard it here first. (Okay, some of you already knew that I can be a little bit particular about how I like things. Such as; which drinks absolutely have to be consumed through a straw and which ones would never enter my mouth by way of a straw.)
But you don’t mind that I’m a princess do you? (It’s part of what makes me geeky enough to put together a season-focused meal plan for you!)
Speaking of meal plans, I’m guessing you’d like to see one for this week. Fortunately for you, I already have my summer meal plan all mapped out, so there’s no risk of me advising you to make beef stew on July 22. (But come back in the winter because you’ll love my beef stew recipe.)

Honestly, I have to tell you that I’m going to be on the road a lot this week. And I’ll be cooking meals for extra people. I can’t imagine that I’ll take time to make dessert.
